Relaunch

We are really excited to be relaunching the Screenworks website, riding on the wave of recent interest in #practiceresearch in the wake of REF2014, as demonstrated by The Future of Practice Research event at Goldsmith last year and the forthcoming JMP Symposium at London South Bank University, and building on the excellent work of the MeCCSA Practice Network.

We aim to become the centre of an international community of practice research within the field of screen media – in its broadest sense – developing new ways of disseminating and evaluating academic film, video and creative media; pushing the boundaries of both screen media practice research and its peer review.

Have a look at our Current Volume which features the shortlisted work from the BAFTSS 2016 Practice Research Awards, the winner of which is being announced later today. We are currently inviting Submissions in any area of screen media practice research and looking to broaden our community. Contact us if you are interested in joining our list of academic reviewers.
